Christmas at the Ponder Couch!

Santa Buddy, slip a Lightsaber under the tree, for me

been an awful good geek, Santa buddy,
so hurry down the chimney tonight.

Santa Buddy, an 81 Delorean too,

Trash fueled
A Mr. Fusion on top.

Santa buddy, so hurry down the chimney tonight.

Think of all the mercy I’ve shown
To all the stupid noobs that I could’ve pwned.

If you help my collection grow
I’ll help you jailbreak your new smart phone.

Santa Buddy, Time and Relative

Dimension in Space, is the place

Keep the Weeping Angels at bay.
Santa Buddy, so hurry down the chimney tonight.

Santa Partner, there’s one thing I really do need,

Indeed

A gold pressed Latinum pile

Santa partner, so hurry down the chimney tonight.

Santa studly, fill my stocking with a Holodeck,

And next
put the Deathly Hollows inside,

Santa studly, and hurry down the chimney tonight.

Come and trim my Christmas tree,
With geeky decorations bought off of etsy.

I’ll really take great responsibility,
with the great power that you’ll give me,

Santa buddy, forgot to mention one little thing,
A ring.
One to rule them all,
Santa buddy, so hurry down the chimney tonight,
Shimmy down the chimney tonight,
Hurry, tonight.

SOAP!!!!!

I got a box from Geeky Clean!!!

Geeky Clean is a wonderful purveyor of geeky soap.

This time around I got the Firefly Collection and Monkey Farts.

Many of the Geeky Clean Soaps come with a toy prize inside! (just like Cracker Jacks and cereal used to!) I like that. The Wash-o-Saurus bar has a toy T-rex in it and the Monkey Farts has a Barrel o' Monkeys monkey in it.

The soap also has a hard plastic packaging, the lids of which have bar-specific labels that can be collected like trading cards! Even more appropriate for geeks.

I put the Fruity Oaty Bar in our downstairs bathroom. It smells like a fruit mixture and reminds me of fruit snax.

The Monkey Farts on the sink in my bathroom. It has a strong and pleasent banana scent.

And the Wash-o-Saurus in my shower. It has a lovely fruit punch scent.

I've been enjoying them all and highly recommend Geeky Clean to all of you geeks!

"Daayytonaaa let's go away!" Daytona USA old and new

The sweet music, robotic drifting, and cameo appearances by obscure fighting characters is back in HD! I take a look at this PS3 download in another SSR. CLICKY!!!

It's the Sega arcade classic.... Daytona USA! With its so bad it's good soundtrack, amazing drift physics, and great graphics it's easy to see why this is my favorite saturn launch title. I've learned a great deal making this video review and I'm working on more. Check out this short and first Sega Stuff video game review!

You Know What Goes With Ecto Cooler?

Stay Puft Marshmallows!!!!!! Let's see, do they look like they do in the movie?

Not really, oh well...
Let's open them up!

Huh...

They're square... Let's eat them!

They taste like marshmallows! I really don't notice any difference, even though they are caffeinated. I like caffeinated things!

Look! Princess Melawesome like's them, too!

You can get them from Think Geek . They're a little spendy, but they're pretty tasty compared to a lot of the reverse product placement edibles.

Scre4m

My first thought watching Scream 4 was, "Do this many people really still have land lines?" I
finally picked up the new Scream film this weekend. I have been a long time fan of the Scream movies, to the point of near obsession during the life cycle of the first two. Needless to say, I was tentatively excited when I first heard they were making another film in the series.

The premise surrounds Sidney Prescott returning to Woodsboro as the last stop on her book tour. The night before her arrival the Ghostface murders start again. Sidney takes up residence with her cousin Jill while the murders are being investigated by none other than Dewey and Gail Riley. From there it is rather formulaic; people get picked off one by one, and eventually the killer is revealed to be the person you'd least expect.

So, is it any good? The answer, in my opinion, is, "It's not bad." I have a load of little bones to pick with this entry in the series. There is a complete lack of the song, "Red Right Hand," which served as a theme song, of sorts, for the first three films. There is an overabundance of the word, "meta." Add that to the obsession with social media and the aforementioned plethora of land lines, and you having me rolling my entirely too much to properly enjoy the film.

That's not to say that it's all bad. The film follows the Scream formula and certainly feels like a valid entry in the series. It stays interesting throughout and it was well cast. I think I would have preffered if it were a remake rather than a sequel. The old stars don't fit in with the new young cast so well, and nowhere near enough of the new cast survives. In my opinion the Scream series missed out on being the annualized franchise like the horror films it emulates. Series like Saw and Final destination have stepped up to fill that role. What is left is an interesting comment on the genre as a whole that seems to have a horror film rolled in as an afterthought.

Yeah, I want Cheesy Poofs...

Hey, South Park is 15 years old! To celebrate, Frito Lay released real-life Cheesy Poofs!

They sell them at WalMart, but don't hold that against them.

I've had real-life Cheesy Poofs before (pic taken from google images)

I got them from Suncoast.

Where I also got real-life Scooby Snacks! *Siiigh*... oh, Suncoast... I miss you so... (more on that another time).

So I gave WalMart some money.

Let's try 'em.

Hey, those aren't bad! You know what they taste like:
Yep, they're just relabeled Cheetos Puffs. Oh well, I like Cheetos in most shapes and forms.

If you like Cheetos Puffs and/or you like South Park, pick up a bag, if they're still available.

All together now!

Can't Get Enough of That Wonderful Duff!

Hello, what's this?

"Duff Energy Drink?!" What? Why not Duff Beer? The can looks the same, what's the difference?

Oh, I see...

Whelp, let's try it!

Hey! That's not as bad as other people made it out to be! And hey, it kinda looks like beer.

Yeah, it's kind of an orange, citrusy flavor. Not that vitamin/baby aspirin with a hint of that when-you-throw-up-in-the-back-of-your-mouth flavor that most energy drinks have. It's not all that different from Mountain Dew, which I love! I like it so much that I based Muice Joose! on it in my comic strip.

I quite like this drink. It's well worth a bit of money to drink a real Duff Bee... *sigh*... Energy Drink...

They used to carry it in Hot Topic and Disc Replay, but I have not been able to find it lately. I ordered this 6 pack from amazon.com. There isn't that much left, so if you want to try it and/or add a can to your reverse product placement collection, act fast! I can't find any of the Slurm Energy Drink for a sequel (or spinoff, if you will) review.

I snoozed, I losed.

Where was I? Oh yeah...

To finish the review: "Duff! It's not just for breakfast anymore!"

Now if I could only get my hands on the Australian version:

Or the Mexican version:

If you can send me either beer, or the Slurm Energy Drink, I'd be much obliged. Or if you have another Reverse Product Placement item you'd like to see reviewed I'll review it, I'll review the crap out of it!
