Yeah, I want Cheesy Poofs...

Hey, South Park is 15 years old! To celebrate, Frito Lay released real-life Cheesy Poofs!

They sell them at WalMart, but don't hold that against them.

I've had real-life Cheesy Poofs before (pic taken from google images)

I got them from Suncoast.

Where I also got real-life Scooby Snacks! *Siiigh*... oh, Suncoast... I miss you so... (more on that another time).

So I gave WalMart some money.

Let's try 'em.

Hey, those aren't bad! You know what they taste like:
Yep, they're just relabeled Cheetos Puffs. Oh well, I like Cheetos in most shapes and forms.

If you like Cheetos Puffs and/or you like South Park, pick up a bag, if they're still available.

All together now!

Can't Get Enough of That Wonderful Duff!

Hello, what's this?

"Duff Energy Drink?!" What? Why not Duff Beer? The can looks the same, what's the difference?

Oh, I see...

Whelp, let's try it!

Hey! That's not as bad as other people made it out to be! And hey, it kinda looks like beer.

Yeah, it's kind of an orange, citrusy flavor. Not that vitamin/baby aspirin with a hint of that when-you-throw-up-in-the-back-of-your-mouth flavor that most energy drinks have. It's not all that different from Mountain Dew, which I love! I like it so much that I based Muice Joose! on it in my comic strip.

I quite like this drink. It's well worth a bit of money to drink a real Duff Bee... *sigh*... Energy Drink...

They used to carry it in Hot Topic and Disc Replay, but I have not been able to find it lately. I ordered this 6 pack from amazon.com. There isn't that much left, so if you want to try it and/or add a can to your reverse product placement collection, act fast! I can't find any of the Slurm Energy Drink for a sequel (or spinoff, if you will) review.

I snoozed, I losed.

Where was I? Oh yeah...

To finish the review: "Duff! It's not just for breakfast anymore!"

Now if I could only get my hands on the Australian version:

Or the Mexican version:

If you can send me either beer, or the Slurm Energy Drink, I'd be much obliged. Or if you have another Reverse Product Placement item you'd like to see reviewed I'll review it, I'll review the crap out of it!

Ecto Cooler 2.

Ecto Cooler!!!!

Ecto Cooler

I have pined for Ecto Cooler since I first realized that I didn't see it around any more. After Googling it too many times, I resigned myself to the idea that I'd never have it again.

Then there were rumors of Ghostbusters 3... then Ghostbusters games came out on all the major video game systems and I started to hope that maybe Hi-C would bring it back and I could drink it again... but no.

Earlier this week I saw on Topless Robot's twitter feed that a group called Ghostbusters: Chicago Division posted a video with a recipe for Ecto Cooler!

Well I grabbed a pen and jotted it down!

In case you can't read it, here's a link to the G:CD Ecto Cooler page with the ingredients.

I traveled all over Indy searching for each ingredient. I went to 3 Targets, a Whole Foods, a couple Marshes, and a Kroger before I found everything.

I mixed up a pitcher of the good green glory:

But I wasn't quite ready. I had to make the proper drinking vessel for such a liquid link to the past:

And then I drank.
It's pretty good. If that's not what Ecto Cooler used to taste like, it's close enough to satisfy this geek's nostalgic thirst.

Oh, here's the video from which I got the recipe:

Mix, drink, enjoy!
