She All Right- a sethifus cover of a Dr. Frank Portman song

From youtube:

I did this in one terrible take, if you can believe it.

I love this song. I love every song by Dr. Frank, solo and with MTX.

Frank Portman is my favorite musician and you should go check out everything he's ever done and ever will do. http://doktorfrank.com/

I wish he'd do a concert/book thing in Indianapolis....

And I meant every word of it!

Twig!

Today I am Thankful for the Presidents of the United States of America!

The band....

From youtube:

My goodness do I love the Presidents of the United States of America and every musical thing Chris Ballew does!

This is one of my favorites. I mess up the words and play pretty novice-ly and the guitbass will not stay in tune at all, but I like my version quite a bit for all it's flaws.

I made a guitbass!

Many videos back (https://youtu.be/fg8skpCNRJE) I wrote about this guitar and how Guitar Center wouldn't buy it. I had to do something with it!

I started putting stickers on it and finally realized that I always wanted a guitbass ever since I found out about them!

I'll write more on pondercouch.com!

Here's some other Presidents and Chris Ballew songs I've covered:

Last Girl on Earth - https://youtu.be/c_lzAKNotoE

Boot Got Grounded - https://youtu.be/mzyH94Juz4Q

Munky River - https://youtu.be/lTWBPHB__eU

I hope you're having a good day.

New stuff just on the Ponder Couch:

Here's pictures of my guitbass!

I love this guitbass!

It won't stay in tune for anything, but I love it!

The strings vibrate to the point of uncontrollable distortion, but I love it!

I had to file down the bridge thing at the top of the neck so the strings would fit in it, but it was worth it!

I talked to the guy behind this site that is all about guitbasses and bassitars! He was very helpful and told me directly what gauge of guitar strings to buy to make an acoustic guitbass.

I thought I had more to say about this, but I can't think of it right now.

Oh well.

I love my guitbass!

"Look What I Can Do!", Dumb Face Tricks, and "Catch a Falling Star!"

I made a new Guitprov song:

I used it as the background for this Dumb Face Tricks video:

I also covered Perry Como's "Catch a Falling Star"!

I love Perry Como's voice.

Woooo-Hooooo! When I Feel "Heavy Metal"

Here it is! The best cover song I've ever done!

I hope you can keep on living your life now that this is out there in the world.

I hope it's not too distracting.

I hope you can limit yourself to only watching it a few times each hour.

Bloodied Up - an Alkaline Trio cover by sethifus!

I just covered an Alkaline Trio song...

From youtube:

A little story...

I tried to sell this guitar to Guitar Center a few days ago. At first the guy said he'd buy it for $40, but then he took a look at the truss rod and decided he couldn't get the neck to unbow enough to make it sellable.

I'm kind of glad he didn't buy it. I don't like Guitar Center very much, and I'd miss this horrible, crappy guitar.

I like Alkaline Trio a lot. I don't have their newest album yet, but I've got all of their old stuff (I think).

I like this song a lot, too. I hope you like my cover of it.

Day 263 - Church on Sunday (Green Day) cover! - 9/21/2015

Today's Thing.

From youtube:

Here's a cover of Green Day's "Church on Sunday". I kept the first take because I pretty much got all the words right and played most of the notes correctly!

I like the song a lot. I hope you like covers!

Day 198 - Sethsaphone Mash-up Song! - 7/17/2015

Today's Thing-a-Day Thing is a Mash-up of "Baker Street" and "Careless Whisper"!

From the youtube description:

Baker Street is originally by Gerry Rafferty!

Careless Whisper is originally by George Michael!

This is a mash-up of both songs! Or at least their saxophone parts!

I play it on sethsaphone because I don't know how to play saxophone!

Enjoy!

More of things at http://www.pondercouch.com!

Here are the original songs:

I know Baker Street only from Lisa Simpson playing it in one episode of the Simpsons. I don't remember where I heard Careless Whisper for the first time.

These two saxophone parts always make me think of the Night Man Theme Song:

Now that I listen to it again, I'm not sure why they remind me of it. I used to think "Careless Whisper" was the Night Man Theme.  My memory doesn't always remember well.

If you want more sethsaphone covers of saxophone songs, just ask!

Day 16 - MisterSeth cover of "Winnie the Pooh" - 1/16/2015

Today's Thing-a-Day thing is my MisterSeth cover of the Winnie the Pooh theme, played on my so-out-of-tune work guitar!

Watch, like, share.
