Day 344 - Ugly Christmas Sweater! - 12/10/2015

Today's Thing-a-Day Thing is an Ugly Christmas Sweater!

Tomorrow is Ugly Christmas Sweater day at work. I didn't have one, so I made one!

I made Snowman Cup of Hot Cocoa with Marshmallows and a Candy Cane!

I hope it stays on the sweater.

I haven't had Hot Cocoa yet this year : (

Day 343 - Music Mediums I Wanna Make! - 12/9/2015

I like to make music.

Write and perform.

And since I'm a bit of a strange person I'd really like to put some of that music I make onto some strange music mediums.

Today's Thing-a-Day Thing is a list of 3 different types of music mediums on which I'd like to put some music and sell it or give it to other strange people who like my music!

1. Wire Recordings!

I just found out about this recording medium from an episode of Bones. I don't know much about it yet, and I don't think it would be the best sound quality, but I'd like to give it a try.

For Novelty!

2. Edison Cylinder Phonograph!

Again, not the best sound quality, but still...

For HISTORY!

3. Fisher Price Records!

Remember these?

I would love to make a least one 2-sided record that I could play on one of these.

This is the most likely of the 3. There are ways to make these records yourself!

Day 342 - Thumbs Down - 12/8/2015

Today's Thing-a-Day is about people judging me!

I am a person who tries to make things.

I make them for my own enjoyment and to, hopefully, entertain other people.

Most of the time people take very little notice.

Sometimes people like what I do and share it and give it a thumbs up on youtube and comment on it.

Once in a while people are not so nice.

These times people can do something small like give it a thumbs down.

Other times they leave a comment that makes my day a little worse.

Here are all of the videos on my main youtube page that have more thumbs down than thumbs up!

That's it!

There are lots more that have an equal number of thumbs up and thumbs down and even more that have almost as many thumbs down as thumbs up.

I have to admit each thumbs down hurts a little. Not a lot, but enough to make me wonder why someone would go to the trouble of giving it a thumbs down instead of just moving on to another video without wasting a click.

Even my most popular video has one thumbs down.

I shouldn't let it get to me. I probably shouldn't even look at whether any of my videos have a thumbs up or a thumbs down, but...

Oh well... at least I get thumbs up sometimes.
