Finishing off the month of being T'hankful!

It was Thanksgiving that day! I have already been thankful for my family and friends so...

I ate a lot!

2. Vacation!

Time... off... of... work.

4. Games!

Board, Video, etc. All are fun with the right people!

5. Holidays!

I like holiday's so much!

That's why I write songs and draw stuff and do all the things I do during the Holiday Season!

That's it! Whew! Now we don't need to be Thankful for another year!

Day 325 - "Little Monsters" BCast Episode! - 11/23/2015

Today's Thing-a-Day Thing is a new episode of Bcastcult I was in!

Wanna hear Sir Mike and me talk over "Little Monsters" with the occasional comment by Jobean? If you said "yes" then today is your lucky day!

This week I am joined by Sethifus and his sister-in-law Joanna for another of our Live Commentary style episodes on Little Monsters. I have always loved this movie, and I discuss why with a few good friends here. My apologies, however, as I feel the movie volume is a bit too high in this recording. That said, please to enjoy.

I enjoy doing these with Sir Mike, but it's hard to keep talking and not just start watching the movie.

For the last 3 days I've been Thankful!

For:

1. Novelty!

Novelty items and the sense of newness that makes things oh-so-much-better than they'll ever be again.

2. INK!

Ink is the reason so many things I love exist: books, comics, tattoos, etc.

3. Nostalgia!

Without this Ponder Couch, Dinosaur Dracula, and most of the other sites I check daily would not be.

Tomorrow is the big Thankful Day!

Day 324 - FB Politics! (a poem!) - 11/22/2015

Today's Thing-a-Day Thing is a poem!

I have no grand delusion

that I'll cause a revolution

I barely have the constitution

even for a slight intrusion

or to cause you mild confusion.

No waver in your resolution.

So I reiterate as a conclusion

I won't cause a revolution.

The "tion" words started coming to mind and I realized it was a poem.

Then I realized it was about how facebook politics are dumb and just get everyone angry.

I also realized I did not use most of these in my "tion" song:

Day 323 - Phil Grimm! - 11/21/2015

Today's Thing-a-Day is Phil Grimm!

Phil is the Horde's answer to Gobblor!

I realized as I drew Gobblor that all of the MotU characters had counterparts. He-Man and Skeletor, Teela and Evil-Lyn, Fisto and Jitsu...

So I needed an Evil Thanksgiving character to be the Yin to Gobblor's Yang (or is it the other way around?).

Phil has an Evil Gravy Boat and Cornucopia!

He's also got an evil skeleton face.

His lets and feet ended up weird. I drew one way too small so the other one ended up like that too. Maybe the picture is kind of a top-view of the figure?

If only I had money and space for more MotU figures...

Day 322 - Gobblor! - 11/20/2015

Today's Thing-a-Day Thing is Gobblor!

He is a Masters of the Universe (He-Man) action figure I made up for the Thanksgiving season!

I thought of the name and (inspired by Thrashor) decided to draw it to make it one step closer to a real thing.

I think of Gobblor as a good guy MotU. Even though I'm pretty sure all the MotU characters that end with an "er" or "or" sound are bad guys.

He comes with a detachable tail and a baster sword that you squeeze MotU slime out of!

So, Mattel, if you want to make my Gobblor character real and give me even like 1% of the money you make, I'd be very happy!

Heckle (Heck + Hell), I'd settle for a free figure.

Thankful! For Books! Saturdays! and Couches! 11/20,21,22/2015

I missed a few days of being Thankful.

Here are the things I am Thankful for for those days:

1. Books!

Without books there would be no tv, movies, video games, or much of any entertainment.

Books are one of my favorite ways to spend time.

2. Saturdays!

Saturday is the best day of the week. It's not a workweek day so you probably don't work and it's not the day before a workweek day either!

I get to spend most Saturdays doing something I like.

3. Couches!

I like couches more than any other kind of furniture.

I've written plays about couches, a song, and many of my comics take place on couches.

There is a reason this is the Ponder Couch.

A good day is when I sit on the Couch all day reading Books on a Saturday!

Today's Thing-a-Day Thing is 3 More Things That Make Me Cry!

1. Mister Rogers!

Every time I watch anything with Mister Rogers I start to tear up almost immediately. I love this man and what he stood for.

I've said it before and continue to think it quietly, if there is anything dark in Mister Rogers's past that would paint him in any other light than I currently see him, I do NOT want to hear it.
